WTN: 2002 Luneau-Papin Muscadet Clos du Poyet

2002 Luneau-Papin Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Terroir de Schiste Clos du Poyet
Lemons, salt and bracing minerality - at ten years old this still seems very, very young, almost frozen in time. It's quite tasty, especially on an extremely hot evening, though I was hoping for some degree of evolution.

Thanks for that report, David. I've had the '02 le L d'Or but not the Clos du Poyet. Do you feel that the schist gives this bottling a perceptibly different character?

Not enough recent experience with these bottlings to know. I haven't had an l d'or in more than a few years.

Wait about a decade or two then. :P
As absurdly geeky as it sounds, I've stashed my remaining bottle of the '89 L d'Or away for a few more years - it's a great wine now and showing some development, but still seems to have a lot of time ahead. (And I remember an '82 last year being excellent.)
