WTN: Big House White 2010

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Jun 09, 2012 11:12 am

California
Big House Wine Co.

A blend of Malvasia Bianca, Gruner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Viognier, Verdelho, Albarino and Pinot Gris.

Bright yellow in the glass.

Floral and marmalade-like on the nose.

Medium weight, gooseberry, lemon, lychee, grapefruit, peach, spicy, tangy acidity, peppery, floral, light bitter citrus rind, juicy, honey, rich, crisp, refreshing.

Spicy, citrus peel on the fairly llong finish.

A fun and enjoyable wine that just screams outdoor summer dining to me.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $13.05 (Canadian).
