Awfully Loire-ish right after a month of Vouvray? Or maybe that doesn't matter?

Heck, given the weather I would be happy to reprise Gamay or Riesling!

Gamay or Riesling may work best given the weather. Or a loose theme of high acid, refreshing whites would fit the season as well (and open it up for Muscadet, Champagne, Gruner, etc).

I'd throw out a vote as well for the Jura (light bodied reds that are often very refreshing in warmer months and some interesting whites), but I suspect that could end up just being Tim, tooch and I talking about the wines. Still, may be fun to do something off the usual radar for once.

Off beat reds? Like jura reds, pelaverga, etc. But maybe it's too limiting for flyover country or Canada.

No interest in the obvious topic of rose?

I plan to open some rose' wines but will try to go with whatever theme is decided. I have had Jura wines but don't own any and might have trouble finding them.

We've done CabFranc quite often but I'm always happy to give it another whirl. Those I open will be from the Loire valley; these are good warm weather wines particularly from sandy gravel sites.

I would love to do the Jura but have no reds and very few non-oxidative Chards and Savagnins would have to go out and buy. I have several bottles of vin jaune, which is absolutely unique to the Jura can be a wonderful wine in an oxidative style, but it is quite difficult to find a good pairing

First off, I think to celebrate (mourn for me) to coming of summer I am inclined to give a nod to the idea of Rosé.

As for how this works, we pick a monthly theme, and then post a sticky at the top of the page. People then post of theme wines (or wines that are off theme but related - we're not strict) and have general discussion on the theme. Easy stuff!
