Jinxed delivery

by Saina » Fri May 25, 2012 3:37 pm

I order some wine from Treloar. Then I'm informed that customs proceedings have changed and that I need to fill out some forms before the courier will send the wines. So I go to the customs to get the forms and it appears that they have given me and the courier completely different and conflicting information on how to handle alcohol deliveries to Finland. And now the courier has broken all twelve bottles including the last remaining bottle of the wonderful Muscat Rancio. The difficulties of being a wino in Finland are such that I'm tempted to just give up drinking altogether. First world problems, eh?
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.

If you give up drinking won't they deport you? Problem solved.

Although the Muscat Rancio is irreplaceable, will the courier at least make you financially whole by repaying what you spent for the wine and shipment? One would think they have a responsibility to do so.
