2010 Karine Lauverjat Sancerre
Good weight, quite crisp, clean white fruit with hints of catpee and grass, but well balanced. Very nice Sancerre, in the crisp/fresh style (as opposed to the more “serious” style of the Cotat I enjoyed a few days before). Glad to have some more of these for summer drinking ($15 makes a good value). B+
2007 Donnhoff Oberhauser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett
Peach and green apple, moderate sweetness, maybe more Spatlese styled but quite tasty. B+/B
I was in charge of meatless Monday, did a large pizza (tomato/,mushroom/cheese, feta/onion/olive, and gorgonzola/tomato sections), salad, and the 2008 Trimbach Riesling. Lemony, dry, midbodied, a bit foursquare but pleasant. B/B-
