Tried last night w/ leftover polenta:
1. GerardBertrand GrisBlanc Rose IGP: Pays d'Oc (13%; www.Gerard-Bertrand.com; GrenacheGris) 2010: Very pale yellow/tan almost grey strange color not like a rose; light earthy/perfumed slight candied/cotton candy slight spicy/watermelon/perfumed talc very innocuous nose; soft slight tangy/metallic light candied/cotton candy/bananna candy dry bit watermelon rather innocuous/dull flavor; short somewhat light cotton candy/candied/watermelon soft almost watery finish; about as dull & vapid a wine as you'll ever find; only one small step above...actually below...CoorsLite; no bargain at $15.00 (LCSWS)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Gerard Bertrand is apparently a famous French rugby player that took up winemaking in the Languedoc. This wine iis made from GrenacheGris, the gris version of Grenache. The Donkey&Goat Rose, made from GibsonRanch old-vine GrenacheGris, with much longer skin-contact obviously, blows this vapid wine away.
