WTN: 2007 Merry Edwards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.2% alcohol by volume. Viscous. Dark cherries on the nose. Dark cherry liqueur on the palate. Bright flavor. Some raspberry emerges along with soft, refined tannins. Long finish with a very slight tartness. Attractive, easy drinking. Just when I thionk the Merry Edwards Pinots are too pricy and I should drop off the mailing list, I open a wine like this and realize I enjoy it and would miss it if I didn't purchase a few.

Thanks for this note. We're pretty much in the same boat as you. We've been drinking her wines since her days at Matanzas Creek in the '80s and love her touch with both Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. It's only the pricing that keeps her wines from being regular purchases but we still try to buy them every now and again (as we did with this one).
