WTN: Kopke Non-Vintage Ruby Port

20% alc./vol. Price unknown; received as a gift.

Pretty, clear garnet colour; slightly viscous appearance. Clean, subtle blackberry and bramble aroma on the nose; a touch of raisins. Lively acidity on entry, with good balancing sweetness and decent alcoholic strength on the mid-palate. Sweet blackberry fruit follows onto the mid-palate. Good texture, and a warm, well-balanced finish.

It's a relatively simple Port, but it has good cohesion and flavour interest. Certainly a pleasant drop.
