Burgundy village wine--red. 13% alcohol. Deep purple color; opaque. Dark fruits on nose and palate. Dark plum-scented. Drinking smoothly and with an inviting balance of acidity and fruit. Quite impressive for a village-level Burgundy. I wish I had a bunch of these for drinking over the summer. Much more ready to drink than the 2006 Digioia-Royer Chambolle-Musigny "Les Fremieres" Vielles Vignes I opened last week. (Digioia-Royer produced an extraordinary village Chambolle-Musigny in 2002 also--very floral--but I have consumed the few bottles I owned. It was a village Burgundy that drank like a Premier Cru.)
