At a restaurant last night I enjoyed a glass of Domaine Durand Sancerre (blanc). The vintage was not listed on the wine list but probably recent vintage. Typical of Sancerre with a citrus element--not grassy or vegetal. Inviting. Good match to the lemon-lime risotto and the soft-shelled crab with lemon-butter capers sauce and roasted bok choy and slivered almonds.
After dinner I had a small glass of Castera Jurancon Cuvee Privilege from the Petit Manseng grape. Yellow tinted, hint of oxidation? nice sipper.
