WTN: Neyers PinotNoir RobertsRd '10..(short/boring)

Tried this Fri night after dinner:
1. Neyers PinotNoir RobertsRoad/SonomaCoast (14.2%; www.NeyersVineyards.com) 2010: Med.color; strong earthy/Burgundian rather bing cherry/black cherry/cold-climate/Pinot light toasty/smokey/oak very interesting nose; fairly tart some herbal/rosemary/earthy/Burgundian somewhat bing cherry/black cherry/Pinot some toasty/charred/smokey/Fr.oak structured flavor w/ fair tannins; quite long earthy/Burgundian/herbal some bing cherry/black cherry/subtle/PN some taosty/smokey/oak finish w/ fair tannins; not your usual fruit-driven Calif Pinot; very structured and needs 2-6 yrs; quite an interesting and atypical Pinot. $36.00 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was the first Pinot from BruceNeyers I'd ever seen, so had to try it. Grapes (Swan clone) come from the Sangiacomo RobertsRd vnyd on the northern edge of the Petaluma and the western flank of SonomaMountain. Definitely cool-climate.
I was quite taken by this Pinot. It had a subtle/low-key Pinot fruit to it underneath an earthiness that made it resemble a good/solid RedBurgundy.
