WTN: a nice sparkler and Kabinett

by Jim Grow » Sat Apr 21, 2012 10:20 am

2008 Taltarni Brut which was 58% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and the rest Pinot Meunier. Very pale pink in color with some nice light strawberry and slight apple flavors with exuberant tiny bubbles. Very nice, I'll get more.

2004 Gernot Gysler Weinheimer Riesling Kabinett was in excellent shape with dark straw color, a muted nose of peach and a much stronger taste of peach with great acidity. abv of 9%. No vineyard designated.

I enjoyed several bottles of the Taltarni Brut Tache 2005 and I agree with your assessment: a nice drop.
