Winery Visit/WTN: Donkey and Goat

by Brian K Miller » Mon Apr 09, 2012 8:50 pm

Awesome, just awesome. I was able to visit Donkey and Goat on Saturday and quite enjoyed their wines. The Rousanne Orange Wine was very interesting, and they were pouring three interesting syrahs (including a Wylie Fernaughty). All were taut, lively, vigorous, and "alive" with acidity. Up my alley for sure. My favorite was the 513, a blend of 5 of the "permitted" CdPape grapes. This had a degree of depth and richness which really stood out.

A very nice discovery!
