SFChron: Bonne On SonomaCoast Syrah

JonBonne has an interesting (sorta) article on Syrah in today's SFChron:
SFChron:Syrah

Not terribly profound, and covers some familiar territory, but a few new names I've not seen.

Good article (as usual) from Mister Jon.

I would quibble with his intro a bit, though not his text on Sonoma Syrah and his reviews. Specifically, he mentions the "limited stage" on which great Syrah appears, properly highlighting the northern Rhone as the mother ship...but where or where is Australia mentioned? I'd argue that is one of the stages where Syrah can, and has, and does, shine most brightly (even when I don't like the style, it's still arguably great).
