- 2003 Alcina Cellars Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/1/2006)
We had this at lunch at Lorena's mom's restaurant....with crispy fish tacos.. which were delicious!!
The wine was perfect with the dish, which was not too spicy. Cloudy appearance, which to me just means no filtering..a good thing.. medium bodied, dark red fruit, good line of acidity running thru. Very well integrated and tasty. Three of us polished the bottle off easily and rapidly. Sangiacomo is becoming, along with Rancho Ontiveros, one of my favorite Pinot vineyards. (91 pts.)

MMMMMMmmm....love that wine. Is that reductive thing still going on for the first 30 minutes?
So are we on for some more tacos on the 9th?
