2008 Signorello Cabernet Sauvignon

This showed pretty well popped-and-poured at the winery, but...

MY bottle was pretty tight at the moment. I know these wines need to be laid down so why did I ignore common sense and open it? :?

Very tight, somewhat light in character for a Napa cab (French winemaker, so...). More toward the red fruit side. A bit of earth, some bell pepper. Light on its feet...Some elegance DEFINITELY present. I don't taste the purported 14.7% abv at all. Not a fruit bomb at all. A little more fruit did show towards the end of the evening, but...we are talking about potential right now. I like tannins and I like restrained wines, so we still enjoyed it, but...needs time!

Two to three to five years for my other bottle! :?
