WTN: Burger wine

Fooled ya...

2002 Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Riesling Spatlese
Still a relatively pale yellow in the glass. Aromatics run to peach, lime and a crisp, leafy element. Lots of fruit and a just emerging creaminess. Time should still be a friend to this wine, but it's starting to drink like it has a little age on it.

Not at all David. I was so excited about my Burger wine I misplaced my notes.

Hi David -

Thank you for the update on this wine. I have not had it in a while, but remember thinking that Zilliken did particularly well in 2002.
