I am sure gonna go on about the fine Rieslings from the land of Oz!! Nearly 2 mixed cases in the cellar but will bring some out for the rodeo festivities at Doris Ranch.
Had a sneak preview of a delicious wine from Crawford River, the `04. Victoria appellation, $30 Cdn plus.
WTN: `04 Crawford River Riesling.
Pale straw with some green tinges, the nose displayed some pear and peach. Very elegant on the palate, steely acidity with usual fruits. Long finish, very clean and powerful. I found it pretty dry and wonder what it will grow in to? My thoughts strayed to Petaluma whilst tasting. The spice added some complexity plus some honeysuckle developed. Nice.
