WTN: Domaine Robert Serol Cote Roannaise Gamay

I have been trying some Gamays lately from "other" appellations, and this was quite a pleasant Tuesday evening sipper...but definitely needs FOOD! Maybe too young? But, this Domaine Robert Serol version was nice!

Very "typical" Gamay Noir nose, roses? cherry, a meaty savory note blazing through. Pretty clean...no Foillard funkyness.

Definitely not as fruity on the palate...there are some tannins here???? Savory, "ferrous,"? meaty character. A quite acidic wine (a good thing!)

I enjoyed this quite a bit, especially when Milton gave me a slice of his veggie burrito. It workd (the restaurant is not very spicy, LOL).
