Tried this last night:
1. Ridge Calif Zin BartolozziVnyd (OldVines; Vines 70-80 yrs old; 96% Zin/4% Alicante; 13.4%; DryCreekVlly; 26 brls; Bttld: March'96; Drk: 2/96-2/01-2/02: PD) 1994: Med.dark color w/ some browning; some smokey/pungent/oak light earthy/mushroomy/blackberry/Zin slight spicy rather cedary/pencilly/old Zin fairly complex nose; soft slight tannic/dried out/metallic some earthy/mushroomy/ rather cedary/pencilly/old Zin light spicy/blackberry/Zin dusty/old vines slight menthol complex flavor; med.long fairly smooth cedary/pencilly/old Zin light raspberry/blackberry/Zin complex finish w/ light/drying tannins; not a lot of fruit left but nice old Zin character; still has life and a pleasure to drink.

Never heard of it!! And seems, at least from CT, that this was the only vintage of this for Ridge. Kudos!!
