2004 Domaine Le Roche (Lenoir) Chinon.
Beautiful Chinon full of herbal goodness, with strong acids, definitely some tannic backbone still, tobacco, cassis fruit, and that wonderful, wonderful grainy tannin mouthfeel and silkyness I love in good Loire Valley Cabernet Franc. Not thin or green in any negative way, there was some richness here that made the wine slurpable! Outstanding. Hope I can find more!

Was this from Selection Massale, Brian? If so, you might see if Cory and Guillhaume have more.

Yes. If my sources are out (Terroir SF and a new wine shop ploughing similar fields, Dig Wines SF), I was going to shoot Guillaume an email.

I had seen the wine around and enjoyed some earlier vintages before. I was in Dig looking for something else (a Northern Rhone Gamay, of all things!) and I saw this lone bottle on his shelf!
