The color is a really dark red like the skin of a Winesap apple. The nose/flavor/finish (sorry, I can't effectively separate out the first two) are right where a dry rose should fit in the wine spectrum. It definitely has PS in it, pepper and more than a bit of tannic bite. I didn't try very hard to pick out flavors of the components - I had a good supper of roast game hen, rice and salad in front of me.
