Aussie Shiraz Question?

by Jim Grow » Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:41 pm

I am looking to aquire a few bottles of an Australian Shriaz that is blended (I think co-fermented) with Viognier Unfortunately I can not remember the winery name but it starts with "C" and is located on the Flaurie or Faurie Penninsula. I have not seen this wine in Ohio ever and think I last bought some maybe 5-8 years ago out of New York.
I remember being very taken with the wine and the 5-7% Viognier addition made it quite distinctive. Not a lot to go on here but can anyone out there help me out?

Quite a few producers do the Viognier/Shiraz co-ferment or blend. Clonakilla's considered among the best in this style though.

An interesting winery, with interesting blends of tempranillo w/ Graciano also a straight Mataro thats quite popular. I have never tried thir Sra/Vio blend though.
