2002 Meulenhof Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett---good acidity with med. straw color and nose and palate of mostly apples and some peach, maybe a touch of petrol----at peak now. abv. of 8.5% (89)

2005 Eagles Trace Napa Cab. Sauvignon---From Gus Anderson of Conn Valley Vineyard---mint and cassis with med.body and tannins mostly resolved. abv. of 14.2% I think this will gain complexity over the next few years. (91)

2009 Meiomi Pinot Noir from Belle Glos and a blend of Sonoma/Monterey/Santa Barbara Co. Nice cherry fruit with some earthiness. abv. of 13.9% (89)

2005 Le Conseiller from Jean-Philippe Janoueix. Still an infant but approaching adolescence. Dusty sweet and sour cherries with tannins more approachable now but will hold the remaining bottles for a few more years. I'm now as "wowed" as RMP but may eventually mellow into a pleasant Bordeaux. abv of 14% (88)

2007 Baus Family Merlot from Knights Valley, this is a very nice Merlot with good structure, nice depth of red and black fruit and tannins that smooth out quickly over dinner. For 12$ I'm glad I have more. abv. of 14.6%
(90)

2009 Baus Family Cabernet Sauvignon. From Alexander Valley, this is another winner from Baus with nice wild cherry fruit and a note of chocolate. Good balance. 13$ for this one! I'll drink both up in the next 3-4 years to enjoy their youthful exuberance. I'll probably buy more of both, abv of 13.9% (90)
