WTN: Win some and lose some (Leitz, Anthill Farms)

by David M. Bueker » Wed Jan 18, 2012 8:51 am

2010 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese
Vibrant, ripe fruity, and very minerally on the back end. There's good length here, and a bit of herbal character on the finish that is consistent with the Roseneck wines. Excellent as usual, and to my mind the strongest of the Leitz stable of spatlesen year in and year out.

09 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir Demuth Vineyard
Corked.

Stupid TCA.

I really liked the Leitz Roseneck at the Theise tasting, haven't tried it since. That was one of my favourite wines there, along with the Spreitzer 303.
