WTN: 2003 Chateau Coufran

by Drew Hall » Sat Jan 14, 2012 10:15 am

Haut-Medoc.
Last night, this was the first of 4 purchased bottles. Nicely surprised with this Cru Bourgeois Superieur. Primarily merlot, it showed earthy plum and dark cherry flavors with hints of tobacco and mineral. Nicely balanced with medium body it had ample tannins on the linguring finish that I think will resolve with a few more years in the cellar. A nice wine on a cold Maryland night.

Don't be sorry, we would much rather beat your Pats than any other team!
