Bisceglia, Aglianico del Vulture, 2007

Pretty raspberry red colored. Damp cave, red fruits and maturing cheese on the nose. Bright red fruits, sour hard candy, some volcanic dimension, but light (like tuff), nice clean finish. Made in a lighter vein but easily recognizable as aglianico, and for less that $15, a bargain. While this could go on and develop a few more years, it is no Tarausi and is so drinkable now so no need to wait. 13.5% A-

Almost picked up a bottle of the 2008 vintage of this on a whim ($12). Maybe it is worth a try.

Mark you write beautiful tasting notes, but I wish you would name the wine as well as the producer in your headlines.

Cheers, Carl
