2001 Dönnhoff Norheimer Dellchen Riesling Auslese
Complex, floral, cherry and peach fruit on a bed of slate. This is better than it was on release 9 years ago, and has the poower, fruit and balance to age effortlessly for hte next decade or more. Stunning.

Sounds great. What does "Dellchen" refer to btw? I've not seen that name in a German wine before.

Norheimer Dellchen's the name of the vineyard. Not sure of the German translations (Bill?), but the wine was tremendous.

A "Dellchen" is a small, secluded valley.
