Would like to visit DC in late April or early May

Any weekend that would work with Jon Peterson, James Roscoe, Kelly Young, Dave M. etc. in that time frame for an offline in DC or Baltimore area? Probably too early to pin down dates but be thinking about it and we can move the thread to offlines folder once it gets going.

We will be in Charleston for the Bridge Run at some point this Spring, but other than that our calendar should be clear. Where are you going to be staying? Out in the 'burbs or in DC? Salil has promised a visit to our lovely city, maybe we could get him down then. Howie?

Yes, Yes, Yes. Right now the calendar show weekends in good shape with nothing that cannot be easily changed.

Howie, make your Hawaii plans and then lets plan a DC weekend extravaganza. The spring is a great time to visit DC! I am thinking Friday night in Baltimore or DC and then Saturday at our house or down at the mansion if we get enough people to warrant a change of venue.

I'd love a meet up with the caveat that I have wee ones which the schedule vagaries that that implies.

It would be fun to meet everyone and I have nothing definitive at this point.

James - are you a runner? My two passions are running and wine and I often combine the two (e.g., run a race then visit nearby wineries). The bridge run looks fun - I've never been to Charleston. I'll be out touring colleges the end of March/first week in April. My son has Clemson on his list, maybe a side trip is in order.

David, my wife has taken up running. We have a daughter in Charleston. It is my favorite city in the US. The food is great. I am walking she is running. You should check it out!

As an aside the College of Charleston is an excellent school. And the male to female ratio is a great advantage to young men. (Additionally, I don't think I have ever seen a place with as many attractive blondes outside Scandinavia! )

Ever been to Austin, TX? I swear they manufacture attractive blonds there.

Thanks for the info on College of Charleston.

Great! Sounds like something is shaping up. I will stay tuned. I may be staying with Sallie in University Park, Maryland depending on her plans, or in a hotel in Alexandria or Arlington, VA.

I think we can do something pretty nice. Thanks for the early warning. We have the thinking caps on now. I hope Salil decides to join us!
