WTN: 2005 JJ Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese

Couldn't resist breaking into a bottle (after sending the rest of mine to offsite storage - hopefully I will have the patience to keep my hands off them for some time) last night with some spicy stir fried rice with egg, Szechuan peppercorns and mixed veggies.
AP #12 for those who care.

A pretty floral perfume with a hint of sulfur that never really blows off, leading into a palate full of fresh orchard fruits ranging from red apples and limes to riper tropical flavours tinged with gentle slate and floral accents. There's incredible depth here, sweetness and power that are more in Auslese territory, yet there's a remarkable sense of lightness and freshness to the flavours that makes it very easy to drink. Fantastic wine and I can only imagine what this will turn into with time.

Sounds good. I keep threatening to open my 1995 Prums & then put them back. I'm shocked that your bottle was so approachable.
