WTN: '08 Jadot Bourgogne vs. '09 Acrobat PN

This is not the only tasting that I have held recently when the wines were very close ( France vs. New World). California, Oregon, and Washington all seem to be moderating the alcohol, and the results are surprising. I was very hard to differentiate between these two wines. Both showed soft red fruit, pleasant acidity and nice finish. The '09 Acrobat was $18 and the Jadot was $17, so close enough. King Estate makes the Acrobat with purchased fruit (at least half, if not more) but again they do a nice job with this wine. Of course the Jadot '08 Bourgogne is a tasty pour, with a 2 hour decant, and one of my favorites with grilled chicken. Only a slight edge to the Jadot. Very interesting to see what they can do with moderate alcohol (both wines were 13%).
