WTN: A nice burg

Ruby red. Earthy nose with cherries and spice, particularly cloves. Midpalate has spicy cherries with bright acidity and smooth tannins. Medium long finish of red raspberries. Excellent balance and medium bodied.

With food: Just a nice complement to grilled marinated boneless pork chops smothered in sauteed mushrooms. The melding of the two produces this delicious spicy, fruity taste.

Wine: Joseph Drouhin, 2005, Savigny les Beaune, 13% abv.
