We are in New England (Mass. and NH) for a long weekend and had time to get to the NH wine store, they are state owned and seem to be pretty decent price-wise and with a pretty good selection. Bought a few from the local Leary's in Newburyport, MA. The wines:
Chateau La Touche '09 Muscadet-Sevre et Maine, Crisp and tasty, with beautiful acidity, and a nice mouthfeel, this from Leary's in Newburyport.
Via Amanti '10 Soave Classico, this was very serviceable and true to class, with a nice nuttiness, good acidity and a nice finish, though paled in comparison to the Muscadet.
Jadot '09 Chateau-des-Jacques Moulin-a-Vent, this wine never had time to open-up. It was decanted, but still needs a few years in the bottle to show it's best.
Jadot '09 Savigny-les-Beaune, this was very correct from the start and the 20% new oak seemed to round out the beautiful acidity to make a complete wine already. It was perfect with left-over lobster roll (twice) and helped a substandard crab cake and stuffed clam. This wine is an excellent example of white Burgundy. We paid $24 for this at the NH store, and would do it again.
Duval-Leroy NV Champagne, I could not pass this up at $24 and it turned out to be nearly perfect. We served it with left-over lobster roll and again with lobster roll. You could not find a better match. This wine is singing, if you can get to a NH store, do so!
Wish I was driving back to SC rather than flying. I would take a few cases back with me. This is one of the best selection of Jadot wines that I have seen.
FWIW, the Jadot Macon-Villages and Chardonnay are both mouth watering chardonnays.
