Tried this the other night:
1. JaconaVllyVnyd PinotNoir NewMexico (13.3%; JaconaValleyVineyard@MSN.com) 2004: Med.light color w/ some browning; some smokey/charred/toasty/oak light black cherry/licorice/earthy slight herbal/rosemary somewhat perfumed fairly complex/interesting nose; fairly tart somewhat toasty/smokey/oak rather smooth/black cherry/herbal/rosemary/earthy/Pinot flavor w/ light tannic bite; fairly long earthy/dusty/herbal/rosemary light black cherry/licorice/Pinot smoth complex finish w/ light tannic backtaste; speaks of NM and PinotNoir both; not that much fruit but an interesting almost Burgundian character; quite a nice Pinot and one of the better aged NM reds I've had. $23.00

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was the first Pinot crop off TreyNaylor's small vnyd down in Jacona, just North of SantaFe. In its youth, this was a rather rustic/earthy wine w/ not much fruit. It has developed much nicer in the btl than I'd have ever expected it to.
