NWR: Exciting Times Below MonteBelloRidge

by TomHill » Wed Oct 05, 2011 2:12 pm

Just picked this up from the SFChron:
SFChron:QuarryShootings

The Lehigh quarry is on the west edge of Cupertino and is that big/ugly scar you see in the landscape below you from up on MonteBelloRidge. Going west on the StevensCreekBlvd, if you miss the turn (as I have done a number of times) to the StevensCreekReservoir/MonteBelloRd and go straight, you wine up at the quarry.
So sad...the nut cases that are out there.

I live and work in the area, and have been hearing the constant drone of police helicopters all morning. Many neighbourhood schools are closed. Hopefully they catch the shooter soon.

Thanks, Alex, for an on-the-scene report. Be safe.
