WTN: Don David Reserve Malbec 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:07 am

Cafayate Valley (Argentina)
Michel Torino

Dark purple in the glass.

Smoky, spicy, floral, sweet jammy fruit on the nose.

Medium weight, quite rich, blueberry, tangy, high acidity, coffee, floral, juicy, soft tannin toward the end, smoky, spicy, full in the mouth.

Tangy, blueberry on the finish.

An excellent wine at a great price.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian) and a boffo QPR.
