Opened this last night at the Great Bidwell Way Luau. Very fresh aromas of apple and pear with a little citrus and tropical fruit thrown in. On the palate, it's smooth, full, and nicely balanced with more apple-pear flavors, middling weight, full mid-palate, and creamy finish. Really nice stuff. As a friend noted, there's some malo and some oak there but it's only dialed up to '5', complementing the fruit rather than stomping on it.
We've really liked what we've had from Sarah's Vineyard. We stopped by the tasting room on the way home from Santa Cruz a couple of months ago and were quite taken with the whole lineup, including this chard. Their syrahs and pinots were also quite good.
