I was excited to see that Jim Cowan (aka Florida Jim
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=41 ) released his first three wines. The 2010 pinot noir from Bennett Valley is 13.1% alcohol! There's a skin-fermented Lake County sauvignon blanc which also sounds interesting, and a Sonoma Coast pinot noir described as "feathery" and "feminine." Not adjectives one sees too often. None sees any new oak. Now that is a production regime I can get behind. All are $32 or less, which is expensive but not for quality cool-climate pinot noir, in my book.
