Grenache-based blend. 14% alc./vol. Solid, high-quality natural cork closure. A very reasonable $13.95 at Vintages.

Clear garnet, with a scarlet core. Peppery aromas and spice atop pleasing tutti-frutti juicy-fruit/cherry-lollipop aromas. Dry with good acidity and grippy, chalky tannins right on the fore-palate - a most pleasing texture. Extremely well structured with fine balance and presence. Good warmth on the mid-palate, with a pleasingly flavourful, spicy, composed finish. Great value at this price.

This cut way above my expectations. Definitely a go-to wine again. It will work well with grilled pork chops and just about anything else that calls for a Rhone-type wine.
