I loved this story when I first read about it several years ago. Looks like that old vine is still hard at work!

Apparently - a bistro in Paris has done exactly that: they've got a single Baco vine growing out front, and they actually serve the wine made from it.

You know, Bob, you certainly could replicate this in Alberta - by growing Valiants! Valiant is a champ variety. Reportedly it's hardy down to -50C or colder!!
