A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Bought this at VintageBerkeley a few weeks ago on a flyer. Never done did see a sweet Pays d'Oc wine before. Was expecting it to be slightly sweet (given the alcohol level) like a Loire CheninBlanc. It was not...it was quite sweet. Yet not soft & cloying and alcoholic. It seemed to speak of a Muscat passito, much like a Passito di Pandeleria. It also had the intense peachy character that spoke of botrytis. Whatever the heck it is, it's a stunning dessert wine. And a steal at $15/750 ml. I'm going back for more.
