Prince Edward County (Ontario)

A 50-50 blend of Gamay and Zweigelt.

Medium-dark cherry red in the glass.

Spicy, tobacco, earth, leather on the nose.

Medium weight, cherry, currants, raspberry, good tangy acidity, red licorice, tobacco, with a nice bitter bite.

Tangy, mouthwatering on the finish.

Simple, but quite tasty, fun and gulpable.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at the winery at $12.95 (Canadian).
