WTN: rain, rain go away

by David M. Bueker » Sun Aug 28, 2011 8:45 am

Saturday night Laura and I waited for our dinner guest, Hurricane Irene.

Aubry Champagne Brut NV
We recently acquired a case of this for $28, so it's relatively easy to just open one whenever. The wine is mostly Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, which puts it right in Laura's wheelhouse. Deep apple, some elements of red fruits (cherries, berries), and a vigorous but by no means rough mousse. It's a delicious, albeit young Champagne. Disgorged June 2010.
