- 1989 Château Clerc Milon - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (8/27/2011)
Very nice, rich, broad Bordeaux. Has some acidic tension and woody structure. Softish with a friendly soft side. Good maturity. Drinking very well right now. Classy with a lush side, lovely mature wine. From the Bob Thompson/Radio Diaries collection.
B+ - 2003 Château Duhart-Milon - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (8/27/2011)
This is modern Bordeaux. Full, sweet, big fruit with baking spices, clove, soy. Soft and lush. A big wine, young but drinking fine.
B - 1988 Charles Joguet Chinon Clos de la Dioterie Vieilles Vignes - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (8/26/2011)
Just delicious. Good firm structure with warm, round fruit. Drinking very well. This bottle was the best of the three IMO.
A- - 1989 Chateau Musar - Lebanon, Bekaa Valley (8/26/2011)
Dense with perfume, prune, tight juicy tannins. Acidic backbone. On the young side. - 1995 Roagna Barolo Riserva La Rocca e La Pira - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (8/26/2011)
Light but firm. Strawberry. Pretty. Nice. - 1998 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (8/26/2011)
Lush, round, full and beautiful. Really really nice and in a good place.

Nice notes. Is Duhart generally modern in style, or do you reckon that's more a function of the 2003 vintage?
How's the move treating you so far?

Nice notes. Joguet sounds especially nice. Didn't get out of US before Irene? Safe travels!

I don't have a lot of Duhart experience with vintages older than 03, so I can't rightly say. I think it's a combination, most likely.
