WTN: L. A. Cetto Zinfandel 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Aug 26, 2011 12:00 pm

Baja California

Dark red in the glass.

Spicy, currants, cherry on the nose.

Medium weight, quite tangy, cherry, raspberry, currants, somewhat sharp, fleshy, bitter fruit skins, pleasingly wild.

Tangy, mouthwatering on the finish.

I wouldn't go back for a second bottle.

Purchased at $10.95 (Canadian).

Funny, after reading descriptors like "mouthwatering", "tangy" and "pleasingly wild", I was not prepared for you to say you wouldn't buy again.

Yeah, I know, I can be confusing. It was just a bit too tangy and acidic for my taste. I don't regret trying it, just wouldn't go out of my way to repeat the experience.
