WTN: Mas Foraster Crianca 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Aug 26, 2011 8:38 am

Montblanc, DO Conca de Barbera (Spain)
Josep Foraster

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40 per cent), Tempranillo (30) and Syrah.

Dark purple in the glass.

Smoky, spicy, tarry on the nose.

Medium weight, juicy, cranberry, raspberry, black cherry, blackberry, tangy, high acidity, dark chocolate.

Mouthwatering, quite tart, drying and lightly tannic on the finish.

Not that interesting.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
