Catena
Mendoza

Dark purple in the glass.

Juicy, spicy, black fruit on the nose.

Medium weight, quite tangy, smoky, fairly juicy, black cherry, blackberry, drying, a fairly lean structure, with a light charred bite.

With time, the wine softened and filled out a bit.

Tangy, mouthwatering, light drying tannins on the finish.

Not bad now, but I think this would benefit from some short-term aging.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
