Lynch Bages 1996

From 375ml. This is just delicious, exactly what I want in Bordeaux. Muscular, dark, tobacco fruit with a wash of sweetness, yet pillow soft, silky and friendly with a nose to die for. Actually it reminds me of the 1985 but a bit darker. Lovely toasted oak, flowers, and a hint of bitter finish. Fine tannins still a little too present. From half bottle this is a little on the young side of its drinking window. A wonderful peek at what this wine will be from 750 when it comes around in perhaps another 3-5 years. A fine way to say farewell to our house in Brooklyn. Consumed from a paper cup, as the movers took everything else.
