Thank you Jane C. for turning me on to the Montes Alpha Chardonnays. Tonight's wine was the 2005 Montes Alpha Chardonnay. It had a deep straw/gold color and the nose and palate were full of very spicey pear flavors with great balancing acidity. This wine has lots of life left probably 5+ years and maybe a lot more due to the excellent balance of fruit and acid. This is probably my 5th or 6th bottle of this wine and it keeps getting better. I think I am all out now.
