Renwood Purchased...

by TomHill » Wed Aug 10, 2011 2:41 pm

According to MikeDunne in today's SacBee:
Dunne:RenwoodSold

Purchased by Ren Acquistions. According to Mike:
Ren Acquisition is a privately held company chaired by Alejandro Pedro Bulgheroni, an Argentine whose wealth up to now has relied largely on oil and gas exploitation.

At one time, ScottHarvey was looking at buying it from bankruptcy.
I don't expect anything good to come of this.

Obviously don't know this new owner---but anyone would have been far superior to the previous (expletive denied) owner.

Considering that generally lousy quality of Renwood wines for the last several years, how can it be worse?

Since they're keeping the same winemaker in place, and the guy doesn't know it's the ShenandoahVlly, not the GoldVlly;
it's not a good sign the new owner has a clue.
